Shaman Mo Hyun-lim arrives on the remote island of Angi-do hoping to make some quick money. The village chief’s family has suffered from a spiritual illness for generations, and they’ve hired him to lift their curse.
There, he meets Sanho—a woman raised to bear that curse in the family’s place, serving as their sacrificial vessel.
“What else can you do? Doesn’t everyone live like this?”
Hyun-lim has no intention of getting tangled up in someone else’s troubles. Yet being powerless before a god doesn’t mean you have to bow to another human being.
